Shakespeare Through Performance at Round Top Library

Shakespeare Through Performance at Round Top Library

Thursday, September 4, 2025 (12:00 AM - 12:00 AM) (CDT)

Description

Led by Robin Grace Soto. Are you curious about Shakespeare? Have you ever been in a play? All the elements of this class are intended to promote an understanding and appreciation of the works of William Shakespeare. Students will develop, test, and transcend their sense of self through their exploration of Shakespearean characters. We will also play a lot of theatre games and explore songs from Shakespeare's plays! Experience with theatre or Shakespeare is not necessary. We are seeking students eager to laugh and learn with others. Students will have the opportunity to share scenes from their Shakespeare play during the UT Festival of Play which is held annually at the historic Winedale Theatre Barn in April. This program is offered for ages 9 and up on select Thursdays starting in September and going through April. Classes are 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Registration required, email or call the library at info@ilovetoread.org or 979-249-2700.
